Joliet Junior College (JJC), in partnership with Gatlin Education Services (GES), offers online, open-enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional caliber positions for many in-demand occupations.
These programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, who work with an existing textbook or base of material to provide the most effective web-based learning experience. They respond to any questions or concerns as well as encouraging and motivating students to succeed.
Each program has a set of lessons and tests; grades are a combination of computer-graded tests and the instructor/mentor's evaluation of the student's work. Students love the quality as well as the convenience of anytime, anywhere training.

Administrative Dental Assistant (240 Hours)
The Administrative Dental Assistant online certification program teaches the essential administrative tasks for managing the business aspects of a dental practice and becoming a certified Administrative Dental Assistant. This program includes instruction in dental terminology and anatomy, medical records management, accounts receivable and reimbursement management, insurance and patient billing, patient scheduling, and procedural and diagnostic coding. Advanced Coding for the Physician’s Office (80 Hours)
Learn CPT, ICD-9, CM (Volumes I and II), and HCPCS Level II Medical Coding in this online, instructor-led certification training program. This advanced medical coding program is designed for students with previous coding experience. A basic coding education, or the GES Administrative Medical Specialist course are required. Preparation for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification exam is included.
